Report: DeMarcus Cousins will not be suspended by NBA after ejection

Published Dec. 30, 2015 2:26 p.m. ET

Sacramento's DeMarcus Cousins was ejected during Monday's loss to Golden State after getting whistled for two technical fouls. Despite speculation that he might receive further discipline for his outburst, however, Cousins reportedly will not be suspended.

According to Yahoo's Marc Spears, the NBA does not plan to discipline Cousins any further. This news comes one day after Sacramento's general manager Vlade Divac said that "he expected DeMarcus Cousins to be suspended by the league" due to his recent tirade.

“He said he understands what he did but he didn't do anything wrong in my opinion,” added Divac, according to The Sacramento Bee.

Since his rookie season in 2010, Cousins leads the NBA in suspensions with 10. His teammate Rajon Rondo has the second-most suspensions since then, with six. Cousins is available for the Kings when they play the 76ers on Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET.
