Report: Erin Barry divorces

Published Jan. 12, 2010 12:00 a.m. ET

Tony Parker’s former San Antonio Spurs teammate Brent Barry is officially divorced after an alleged relationship between Parker and Parker's sexting mistress, Barry's wife, Erin, TMZ reported Wednesday.

The couple’s 13-year marriage legally ended on Jan. 5, according to documents obtained by TMZ.

The alleged relationship between Erin Barry and Parker also led to marital troubles for the Spurs point guard and his wife Eva Longoria.

The “Desperate Housewives” actress filed for divorce Nov. 17 after discovering Parker had been exchanging sexually explicit text messages with Barry's estranged wife for nearly a year -- including hundreds in just one month, according to sources close to Parker.

Brent Barry filed for divorce on Nov.18, while Parker and Longoria’s divorce is still pending.

TMZ reports that the terms of the Barrys' divorce allows them to share joint custody of their two children.

Last month, Erin Barry denied ever having an affair with Parker.

"Unfortunately, because our divorces are occurring at the same time, great speculation has been cast on our friendship," she said.

"My friendship with Tony Parker had nothing to do with the end of my marriage (which is painful enough without this added drama), and to assume that we had an affair is naive, ridiculous, and completely misguided."
