Report: Kings' Collison out indefinitely; MRI results 'not good'
When the 2015-16 season started, there were many who saw the Sacramento Kings as darkhorse candidates to make the playoffs. But injuries have already taken their toll in Sacramento, and Darren Collison is the latest King to miss time due to physical ailment.
Collison suffered a left hamstring injury during the first half of the Kings' loss to the Houston Rockets on Friday, and the injury forced the Sacramento point guard to miss Saturday's game against the Golden State Warriors. During that contest, Collison reportedly told CSN Bay Area that the injury required an MRI and that the results were "not good."
According to the report, Collison said he'll be out for at least a few days while trainers determine the proper course of action.
The Kings have also been without DeMarcus Cousins, who told Yahoo! Sports that he hopes to be back Monday against the San Antonio Spurs.
Collison has averaged 15.8 points and 5.2 assists in a reserve role for the Kings, although he did earn his first start of the season last week in a loss to the Phoenix Suns.
