Report: Kings' DeMarcus Cousins won't play against Bucks

Published Feb. 1, 2016 5:39 p.m. ET

The Milwaukee Bucks' chances of snapping a two-game skid Monday have increased considerably with the report that Sacramento Kings All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins won't play because of a sprained ankle.

Cousins, averaging 27.0 points and 11.3 rebounds a game, sprained his ankle on Saturday against Memphis. The injury initially looked to be much worse as Cousins was helped off the floor. He was selected as a Western Conference All-Star reserve last week.

The Kings are just two games back of the eighth spot in the Western Conference. They are 1-7 without Cousins this season and 19-20 with him.
