Report: Kings expect NBA to discipline DeMarcus Cousins after ejection

Published Dec. 29, 2015 2:19 p.m. ET

During Monday's loss to Golden State, DeMarcus Cousins was ejected after earning two technical fouls.

Cousins was whistled for three fouls in the first quarter, then sat out the majority of the first half due to foul trouble. In the third quarter, after he committed his fifth foul, his emotional and impassioned reaction caused teammates to hold him back.

Cousins was then called for both technical fouls before getting escorted off the court.

According to ESPN.com, Sacramento's GM Vlade Divac said "he expected DeMarcus Cousins to be suspended by the league" following the tirade. Although in the Sacramento Bee, Divac said "he didn't do anything wrong."
