Report: Mark Cuban wanted every player Knicks took in 2015 draft

Comparing New York Knicks rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis to Dirk Nowitzki isn't new, but it is interesting that they could have potentially been teammates. 

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban recently revealed that he wanted to trade up in the 2015 NBA Draft to select Porzingis, and that he liked the other picks the Knicks made in that draft as well. 

Here's what Cuban told Marc Berman of the New York Post:

“We would have traded up in a heartbeat to get that kid,’’ Cuban said before the first Porzingis-Nowitzki showdown. “We loved him. Obviously, people are going to compare him to Dirk because that’s what people like to do. When you’re 7-foot-3, those three inches make a difference.

Cuban said he loved the Knicks draft. He said the Mavs would have taken point guard Jerian Grant at No. 21 if he fell. He also praised the Knicks’ second-round pick center Willy Hernangomez of the Spanish League, who is expected to join the Knicks next season
