Report: Rondo will not get in trouble for his 'sideline kick' -- but Lil B is watching

When the Kings faced off against the Mavericks on Wednesday, former Dallas guard Rajon Rondo was sidelined with injury for Sacramento.

While on the sidelines, however, Rondo made headlines for allegedly trying to trip Mavericks guard Deron Williams. According to USA Today, however, the league does not plan to discipline Rondo. The alleged "kick" occurred with 2:21 remaining in the first overtime while Williams tried to pump fake.

Many, including infamous rapper Lil B, thought that Rondo was intentionally trying to trip the Mavericks guard.

But a baseline camera indicated Rondo "swiped his leg sideways and didn't come as close to making contact" as many originally believed, according to the report. Repeated viewings of a reverse angle show that Rondo's leg clearly never was at any risk of contacting Williams. It does appear that Rondo's foot might have crossed the out-of-bounds line, which would potentially warrant a technical foul. Given that his action had no material impact on the play, however, a no-call seems like the right decision -- if his kicking motion was even noticed by the officials.

Even though the league has reportedly decided not to discipline Rondo, if Lil B follows through with his threat to "curse" Rondo then he may be in for an even tougher punishment. Just look at Lil B's history with cursing NBA players.
