Report: Wolves to trade Bennett to 76ers for Young

Published Aug. 8, 2014 10:13 a.m. ET

The Minnesota Timberwolves don't appear to be done reshaping their roster.

A day after the Timberwolves reportedly agreed in principle to trade Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers for this year's No. 1 pick Andrew Wiggins, last year's top pick Anthony Bennett and a protected 2015 first-round pick, Minnesota will send Bennett to the Philadelphia 76ers for forward Thaddeus Young, the Philadelphia Daily News reports.

The Love-to-Cavs deal cannot be made official until Aug. 23 because the NBA does not allow rookies to be traded until one month after they sign their contract.

Young finished with career highs in points (17.9), assists (2.3) and steals (2.1) last season with the 76ers, who finished 19-63. He has spent his first six seasons in the league in Philadelphia and has averaged 13.7 points and 5.5 rebounds in his career.

Bennett is coming off one of the worst seasons for a No. 1 pick. He averaged 4.2 points, and three rebounds while shooting 36 percent from the field last season.
