Sacramento Kings Start Road Trip Strong Against The Brooklyn Nets
The Sacramento Kings were able to start their six-game road trip to a good start as the purple and white defeated the Brooklyn Nets today by a score of 122-105.
Notable players from the Sacramento Kings tonight were Darren Collison who scored 18 points, Rudy Gay who recorded 22 points, 8 assists, and 8 rebounds, and DeMarcus Cousins who recorded 37 points and 11 rebounds.
To start the game, the Kings struggled to handle the Nets’ offense, which scored a whopping 35 points in the first period. Fortunately, the Kings were able to tighten up and make adjustments as the game progressed, and as a result, they had their way for the second and third quarters.
Going into the final period, it looked like Sacramento was going to win easily as they lead as much as 20 points during the game, but the Nets were able to gain some momentum.
It looked like the Kings were going to blow a winnable game which would have sent half their fanbase to mental therapy, but successfully, the Kings were able to sustain the lead until the clock hit triple zeros.
Today’s victory for Sacramento was just what the team needed to gain momentum on their tough road trip ahead. The next game for the Kings will be played tomorrow as they face off against the Washington Wizards.
