The Celtics are after shooting in this year's draft

Whether they trade up in Thursday's draft or stay at their current slots and select four new players, one thing is for certain: the Boston Celtics want shooters.

The good news is this draft is filled with them, and the Boston Herald's Mark Murphy took a look at a few who Boston could very well have its eye on, including Kentucky's Devin Booker:

"The Klay Thompson comparison has been piled onto this 18-year-old, and he is quite possibly the best pure shooter in the draft. His performances in recent workouts also revealed more athleticism than teams expected. Booker’s quickness and explosiveness have been question marks. Befitting anyone out of the Kentucky platoon system, Booker comes in with a limited body of work. That said, he appears to have teams much more convinced of his potential than did Young, last year’s freshman shooter out of Kentucky."

Grabbing Booker will be tough, considering he's expected to be selected much higher than the 16th pick. But even if the Celtics don't trade up to get him, they should still find plenty of options later on who can shoot the lights out.
