Ulis and Williams sent to Prescott

Following an overtime victory last night against the New York Knicks, power forward Alan Williams and point guard Tyler Ulis will be transferred to the Northern Arizona Suns D League affiliate.
Alan Williams has had a few surprising games with the Phoenix Suns this season and at times was their most exciting and effective big man on the roster. Some speculated that he should be made a starter at power forward to help bring additional excitement to the starting lineup.

On November 18 and 19 on the road against Indiana and Philadelphia, Williams recorded double-doubles grabbing a career-high 15 rebounds against Indiana. Unfortunately following that small stretch he has rarely seen any extended action not playing in seven of the last ten games and has been a DNP-CD 16 times.

Alan did play for 9:02 last night against the Knicks but was generally ineffective scoring one point and grabbing one rebound. He also recorded four quick fouls.

Tyler Ulis was the Suns’ third pick in the 2016 NBA draft, selected 34th overall, the fourth pick in the 2nd Round.

Ulis shined in the Summer League and gained national accolades following a game winning three-point shot against the Denver Nuggets.
