Thunder look hopeless without Oladipo in Portland

“Westbrook, who come into Portland averaging a triple double, was held to 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists on 37 percent shooting. He got little help from his teammates who combined to shoot 26-for-68 from the field (38.2 percent) and looked unable to create offense on their own all night.”

I’m not trying to toot my own horn hear…okay yeah I am. After the Thunder beat the Celtics I wrote a piece about how Oladipo was more important than we all expected. It was a risk considering they still won, but after Portland my premonitions were solidified even more. The Thunder literally have NOBODY who can create for themselves on the perimeter. The boys look to bounce back tonight against Utah

“I fully expect Hood to play on Wednesday when the Jazz host the Oklahoma City Thunder. He aggravated his hamstring injury recently, but with three days rest, he should be good to go. If not, Joe Ingles and Joe Johnson have done a great job in his place.”

Time to give some love to fellow FanSided website Purple and Blues. They do a great job and are on the come-up. Check em’ out if you have any interest in the Jazz (which you should). Utah is going to be Oklahoma City’s biggest competition for the division, and tonight is the first time the two teams matchup. The Jazz have been injury riddled all season, but they are still 15-10 through it all. Assuming Oladipo plays, it is going to be a great game.

Kevin Durant begins making amends in OKC

More from Thunderous Intentions

“He had maintained a close relationship with Positive Tomorrows during his time in Oklahoma City. He delivered shoes to children at Christmas, funded a summer break camp program and paid for a new kitchen and cafeteria for the school. Durant has said the plight of homeless children is close to his heart.”

Ugh. KD is a great guy. He makes it really hard to root against him. Oh wait…

Remember how much of a d*** he was to the OKC players during their first meeting? Remember how he was actively rooting against the Warriors in the Finals so it would be easier to join them? He knew he wanted to play for them while playing against them in the playoffs.

I’m not doubting that KD is a great dude. Trust me, I followed him religiously for 8 years. But this doesn’t take away from the fact that he went against everything he ever told Thunder fans.

He’s still a good person with good intentions, he just made a truly terrible decision as a competitor. And for that, I will never fully forgive him. Way to be the bigger man though KD.
