Wall on Durant: When time is right I'll 'throw a pitch'
It's no secret that the Washington Wizards want to sign Kevin Durant next summer. He's a franchise-altering dynamo who would elevate Washington to a different tier.
But to lure him away from Oklahoma City, the Wizards need to have a solid foundation in place. That starts with All-Star point guard John Wall, who spoke to CSN Mid-Atlantic about how he'll try to convince Durant that signing with his hometown team is a great idea.
Wall is locked in through 2019, while Durant's current All-NBA teammate Russell Westbrook can leave the Thunder in 2017. It's just one of a million factors that the world's second best player will need to think about when he enters free agency in July.
But a great pitch from Wall could tip the scales in Washington's favor.
