Watch Cousins, Cauley-Stein light it up at Kentucky alum game (VIDEO)
If you're hankering for live basketball featuring NBA players, you were in for a treat this weekend. Alumni from Kentucky and North Carolina took part in an exhibition to raise money for charity. And if you're familiar with the roster of those recent college teams, you have a general idea of how things went.
The Wildcats featured nine NBA draft picks; the Tar Heels countered with just three. As a result, Kentucky led comfortably for most of the game, giving Sacramento Kings big man DeMarcus Cousins ample opportunity to show off his versatility:
There are two plays in particular from that highlight that will have Kings fans out of their seats. The early spinning lob assist to Kings teammate Willie Cauley-Stein is a nice taste of what might be to come next season. And when Cousins hits a 3-pointer from the edge of the Kentucky center-court logo, it's easy to imagine him knocking down triples at NBA arenas across North America next season.
If George Karl lets him, of course.
