Westbrook triple-double helps Thunder prep for season opener vs. Spurs
SALT LAKE CITY — Russell Westbrook scored 21 points as the Oklahoma City Thunder closed out their preseason with a 113-102 win over the Utah Jazz. The four-time All-Star had a triple-double with 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
Rodney Hood led the Jazz with 23 off the bench.
THUNDER: Serge Ibaka scored 16 on 7-for-14 shooting. ... Steven Adams finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
JAZZ: Rudy Gobert stuggled throughout with five points, four rebounds and two blocks. He had a minus-23 plus-minus in the first half. ... Trey Burke put up 20 points despite a horrid first half. ... Gordon Hayward scored 18 points.
STAR WATCH: Kevin Durant looked to be in midseason form. Durant scored 11 in the first quarter on 4-for-6 shooting from the field. He finished with 29.
UP NEXT: The Jazz host the Nuggets for their final preseason game on Thursday. The Thunder host the Spurs in their regular season opener Nov. 28.
