Who should Pelicans target in the NBA draft?

The Pelicans don't have a first-round pick in this year's draft. They traded it to the Houston Rockets for Omer Asik last summer.

But they still have a second-round pick (56th overall) and can either make a trade or use it to try and add a long-term rotation player on the cheap. The latter route will be difficult, but they can still go down it.

Here are several options, courtesy of Bleacher Report's Thomas Duffy:

"Draft Express has Oregon’s sensational guard Joseph Young falling to 57th, one spot after New Orleans is projected to pick. If the Pac-12 Player of the Year is available, general manager Dell Demps needs to snatch him right up. Young is a combo guard capable of playing either the 1 or 2, and that versatility would come in handy for the Pels."

Young is a career 39 percent shooter from behind the three-point line, on an incredible 5.6 attempts per game. He's only 6'2", which puts him more in Jimmer Fredette's league than Stephen Curry's, but hey, it's the second round for a reason.

New Orleans needs people to space the floor, and Young may be able to.
