You may never see LeBron dunk while wearing goggles again

LeBron James got scratched in his right eye Friday night and reportedly said he wouldn't play Saturday if it meant he had to wear goggles.

Well, he wore goggles against Washington. For a few minutes at least. Long enough to throw down this dunk!

But LeBron lost the goggles with the Cavs down 10 in the first quarter ...

... and then got right back to dunking.

"I missed a couple of shots and I was like, 'The hell with those things'," James told reporters after scoring 24 points with 11 rebounds in a 127-115 loss.

As LeBrons go, Goggles LeBron is cool but our favorite still is Masked Villain LeBron. Too bad we may never see either one again.

LeBron was listed as questionable before the Cavs announced he'd play about two hours before tip-off . The team drew heavy criticism last week for resting James and fellow All-Stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love for a nationally televised game. That decision prompted NBA commissioner Adam Silver to send a letter to team owners, saying the trend of resting healthy starters is "an extremely significant issue for our league."
