2017 NFL Free Agency Rumors Tracker: Seahawks Courting Running Backs
Keeping track of all of the 2017 NFL free agency rumor for Sunday, March 12 with plenty of big names still out on the market.
The NFL free agency rumors never stop and they sure haven't as we're entering the fourth day of the new league year. While plenty of big moves have been made with guys like Alshon Jeffery, A.J. Bouye, Brandon Williams and plenty more, there are also other big dominoes left to fall. Subsequently, there's still plenty left to keep track of.
Admittedly, Saturday in 2017 free agency wasn't a particularly lucrative time considering the immense action that went down on Thursday and Friday. However, there were plenty of NFL free agency rumors and signings that were worth noting.

For one, the Browns are trying to trade Brock Osweiler with outright releasing him being the Plan B after they traded for him to essentially pick up a second-round pick. They have the salary cap room to not particularly worry about the cap hit that will entail in terms of dead money and it's hard to imagine anyone biting on a trade with that contract involved.
Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints went for a veteran speed replacement for Brandin Cooks, signing Ted Ginn Jr. Also on the wide receiver market, the Chicago Bears made a sneaky good signing on a budget in landing former Tennessee Titan Kendall Wright on a very palatable contract.
Heading into Sunday, though, there could be some bigger pieces that will be put into place. That's obviously not a guarantee by any stretch. However, it seems like at least a couple of the big names left on the market will inch closer to a decision.

Jets Looking For Veteran Secondary Help
According to Connor Hughes of NJ.com, the New York Jets have expressed interest in veteran and former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr.
Seahawks Meeting With Every Big-Name Running Back
Though some have already previously been reported, the Seattle Seahawks are looking intensely at the running back position in free agency, having already met with Eddie Lacy and with visits from Adrian Peterson, Latavius Murray and Jamaal Charles all also scheduled, per Jason La Canfora:
Patriots Believed In-League To Be Bringing Back Hightower?
Obviously there is a market for inside linebacker Dont'a Hightower on the open market, but Albert Breer of The MMQB is reporting that one team interested has essentially given up with the belief that he's re-signing with the Patriots. Additionally, Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald is reporting that Hightower's move was to test free agency, pick his favorite offer and see if the Pats would essentially match it:
Hightower is clearly the biggest domino left to fall in NFL free agency, but there are also players like Dontari Poe and T.J. Lang still floating around on the market. We shall see if anything concrete comes to pass on Sunday.
