49ers vs. Falcons: Live Thread & Scoring Updates for San Francisco
The San Francisco 49ers visit the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15. Niner Noise has your live in-game thread with scoring updates, analysis and a comment section for you to get involved.
Facing off against the 8-5 Atlanta Falcons on the road doesn’t present a likable opportunity for the 1-12 San Francisco 49ers and their hopes to end the team’s 12-game losing streak.

But that’s what is on the table for the Niners, who will already be shorthanded as the result of a plethora of injuries to the team’s roster.
Atlanta is vying for a playoff spot and hoping to retain its hold on the NFC South. San Francisco is playing for little more than pride. And considering how ugly the 49ers’ losses to the Chicago Bears and New York Jets in back-to-back weeks, is there any possible way the Niners pull off an upset?
Niner Noise already broke down the preview for this contest, and it doesn’t look good for San Francisco.
Key to this contest will be how well quarterback Colin Kaepernick and running back Carlos Hyde would play. The Falcons defense isn’t good at all, so these two Niners should have some chances.
On the flip side, quarterback Matt Ryan and the Atlanta offense is the best in the league. Even though this group will be without wide receiver Julio Jones (toe), the Falcons offense ranks No. 1 in the NFL with 428 points scored.
And San Francisco’s defense doesn’t exactly seem to be in a position to match up well.
