Aaron Rodgers receives lowest PFF grade since first season as starter

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers endured the roughest of outings in a 38-8 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Pro Football Focus gave him a grade of minus-4.4 for his performance in Week 16.

That's his worst grade since 2008 -- his first season as Green Bay's starting quarterback.

Rodgers completed just 15 of his 28 pass attempts against the Cardinals (53.6 percent). He threw for 151 yards, but 70 of those yards were negated by eight sacks. He also threw an interception and fumbled three times (two were lost), while his only touchdown pass of the game was a short dump-off that running back Eddie Lacy turned into a 28-yard score.

Rodgers' poor stat line was a direct result of constant pressure and minimal help from his pass-catchers. The Packers are dealing with injuries across their entire offensive line, and they lack a real difference-maker at wide receiver. James Jones, who led the team with five receptions, caught less than half of his targets and finished with fewer than 50 yards.

Sunday's performance was so terrible that the Packers pulled Rodgers in the fourth quarter and let backup quarterback Scott Tolzien finish the game.
