Adrian Peterson brings Minnesota Vikings teammates to Houston for workouts

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson is preparing for the 2015 season with his trainer in Houston, and it appears he has brought a couple teammates along. Wide receiver Mike Wallace and running back Jerick McKinnon are among the group pictured in one of Peterson's Tweet, which detailed the workout they went through on Thursday.

Peterson and his trainer, James Cooper, are notorious for trying new workouts. The running back has even given mixed martial arts (MMA) and CrossFit a shot in the past, ESPN's Ben Goessling writes.

"[It's] a lot of strength work as well," Peterson told ESPN about his offseason workouts. "I do so much different stuff, whether it’s track workouts, on the field, hill workouts, running three miles, exercise with the full-body workout. Whatever the trainer throws out there in front of us, it’s a challenge. I’m always trying to accomplish that challenge."

Although the methods are sometimes unconventional, it's hard to argue with the results. Peterson is one of only three active running backs with over 10,000 career rushing yards.

Wallace and McKinnon can only hope some of that greatness rubs off on them.
