Adrian Peterson credits fans' energy for big performance in Week 2
After a quiet first outing, Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson blew up for 192 yards of total offense in a 26-16 win over the Detroit Lions on Sunday. It was Minnesota's home-opener, so Peterson credits the electricity at TCF Bank Stadium for his big day.
"You can see as I ran through the tunnel, the energy that you see as I was running, that came from the fans," Peterson said, per ESPN's Ben Goessling. "Just that warm welcome, it felt good to be back home."

Peterson carried the ball 29 times for 134 yards. Although he did not score a touchdown, he added two catches for 58 yards. It was Peterson's first time appearing in a Vikings home game since Dec. 1, 2013, when he rushed for over 200 yards in a win over the Chicago Bears.
