Adrian Peterson returns to Vikings practice on Wednesday
Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson stepped back onto the practice field on Wednesday for the first time since he injured his knee back in Week 2.With three games remaining in their season, the Minnesota Vikings received some rare positive news on Wednesday as all-pro running back Adrian Peterson returned to the practice field. Peterson has been out of action since he suffered a torn meniscus back in the team’s Week 2 game against the Green Bay Packers.The running back was seen at the team’s facilities on Wednesday practicing with a brace on his surgically repaired knee according to the Star Tribune’ Andrew Krammer. No word on whether or not Peterson will continue to wear a brace on his knee once he gets on the field in an actual game. As for this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts, it seems unlikely that the running back will be suiting up.As usual, Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer kept quiet on the possibilities of Peterson returning to the field this season.“I don’t know. On Wednesday, Minnesota selected Peterson as their one player to return from injured reserve this season and have 21 days to make a decision on activating him or not.They could definitely use his help as the team is in desperate need of getting more production from their rushing attack this year.
