Adrian Wilson signs 1-day contract to retire with Cardinals

Adrian Wilson was one of the most beloved Cardinals of all time so it was only fitting he retired as a member of the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals held a press conference for Wilson on Monday at the team facility. Wilson was joined by team president Michael Bidwill and GM Steve Keim.

Wilson had a statement prepared where he started off with, “Today I will be retiring from the NFL as a proud member of the Arizona Cardinals”.

It was an emotional scene and one that Wilson will soon not forget.

He then fielded some questions and statement from some of his old teammates. Patrick Peterson said “you showed the way on how to be a professional”. Bertrand Berry asked what he would miss most about football. Wilson replied with “the locker room on gameday”.

It is obvious Wilson had a tremendous impact on the organization as well the fans.
