To say there are questions about the Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback situation would be an understatement.

The Colts announced Wednesday that quarterbacks Andrew Luck and Matt Hasselbeck are both questionable for the team’s Thursday night game versus the Houston Texans. Luck missed last week’s game with a shoulder injury, and Hasselbeck is questionable with an illness.

Luck was a limited participant at Wednesday’s practice, and Hasselbeck was listed as a full participant for the session.

Luck told reporters Tuesday that he was preparing to play Thursday night in Houston, and ESPN’s Ed Werder reported Wednesday morning that the Colts “still expect” him to start. Indianapolis did re-sign veteran journeyman QB Josh Johnson.

Luck struggled through the Colts’ first three games of the season, with Indy going 1-2 in those matchups. The 26-year-old completed just 56 percent of his passes while throwing seven interceptions to just five touchdowns.

Hasselbeck played well in a spot start Sunday versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. He completed 30 of 47 passes for 282 yards and a touchdown, as the Colts defeated the Jags in overtime.
