Arizona Cardinals vs Seattle Seahawks: Inactives

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks announced their inactive players for Sunday Night Football

The Arizona Cardinals get guard Mike Iupati back on Sunday night.  That’s the good news.  The bad news is they will be without receiver John Brown.

Brown, who was diagnosed with Sickle Cell Trait this week, was listed as doubtful on Friday, with Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians indicating there was still a chance for Brown to play.  Well, apparently not much changed and Brown is inactive.

Also inactive for the Cardinals:

DT Ed Stinson

S Brandon Williams

LB Gabe Martin

DT Olsen Pierre

G Cole Toner

DT Xavier Williams

That list is missing a name from last week, running back Kerwynn Williams.  He will be active on Sunday night.  It will be interesting to see if the Cardinals use him at all.

Also active will be quarterback Carson Palmer and receiver Jaron Brown.  The Cardinals will need big contributions from both on Sunday night.

The Seattle Seahawks will also be missing some key players.  Most notably they will be without safety Kam Chancellor.  There was thinking he might be able to return this week.  However he will be inactive.

Also inactive for the Seahawks:

RB Thomas Rawls

LB Kevin Pierre-Louis

G Rees Odhiambo

TE Luke Willson

DT Quinton Jefferson

RB C.J. Spiller

The Seahawks may be missing Rawls and Spiller in the backfield but will still have Christine Michael for the Cardinals to contend with.  Pierre-Louis is also a huge absence for the Seahawks defense.

The Cardinals will need to take advantage of the running game with Iupati back and David Johnson carrying the ball.  Even without Chancellor in the defensive secondary, the Seahawks are still very dangerous.

The Seahawks offense will have a lot to contend with on the Cardinals defense as they are mostly healthy and starting to gel.  The Cardinals defense has given up just five touchdown passes this season
