Atlanta Falcons DC Richard Smith raves about the upside of Vic Beasley

While Vic Beasley has yet to play a game for the Atlanta Falcons, it hasn't stopped people from giving him stellar reviews. The first-round draft pick by the Falcons in 2015 is squarely in the spotlight and he's not shying away from it.

As Vaughn McClure of ESPN explains, defensive coordinator Richard Smith has plenty of love to throw in the direction of the former Clemson Tiger.

"He’s done a great job," Smith told ESPN of Beasley. "I like the effort that he’s playing with. He’s got that elite quickness. And what’s going to be fun and will help him continue to develop is that every day is a good battle between him and [Jake] Matthews going against each other."

"We’ll see what happens when the game times come, but he can be as good as he wants to be. Right now, I like the attitude and the work ethic. And he’s slippery. Part of that is just God-given ability."

We'll wait to see what happens when the actual games begin, but at this point, Beasley seems to have the potential to be one of the top performing rookies from the 2015 NFL draft.
