Bears K Robbie Gould ties career high for missed field-goal attempts
Robbie Gould's season is getting rougher by the week.
After three missed field-goal attempts in the past two games, the Chicago Bears kicker now has six failed attempts on the season. Gould hasn't missed that many kicks since his rookie year in 2005, Bleacher Report's Stephen Nelson notes.
Gould has cost his team two consecutive games with missed field-goal attempts. He missed two of his four tries in an overtime loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13. His only attempt on Sunday was pushed wide right, allowing the Washington Redskins to escape Soldier Field with a 24-21 victory.
Robbie Gould has missed six field goals this year. Ties career-high(/worst) for most missed FG's season; he was 21/27 as a rookie. #Bears

Although Gould has been a pretty solid player for a decade -- he was an All-Pro in 2006 -- father time may be finally catching up to this 34-year-old placekicker.
