Ben Roethlisberger is officially active against the Ravens
When Ben Roethlisberger went down with a knee injury and underwent subsequent surgery, it was believed that he could miss four to six weeks. That would have put him on track to return between Week 10 and Week 12, but this is Big Ben we’re talking about. He rarely misses extended time.
As it turns out, he was forced to sit out just one game as he’s officially active on Sunday against the Ravens – two weeks after injuring his knee in Miami.
Roethlisberger supplants Landry Jones as the starter, who played in place of Big Ben in the Steelers’ loss to the Patriots in Week 7. The timing of the bye week couldn’t have been better as it came at the perfect point in the season, giving Roethlisberger extra time off to heal.
This season, Roethlisberger has 1,685 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions in six starts.
