Ben Roethlisberger warns Antonio Brown about Josh Norman
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger told wide receiver Antonio Brown not be phased by cornerback Josh Norman's antics ahead of their season opener against the Washington Redskins, according to Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk.
“The big thing for both—they might try to play mind games with each other—I’ll talk to my guy and make sure he keeps a level head and just plays football,” Roethlisberger said.
Antonio Brown is made his case as one of the best receivers in the league last season when he posted a career-high 136 receptions.
• Criticize him all you want, but Cam Newton won't change for anyone
Norman is coming off a season in which he was named a first-team All-Pro after recording 48 tackles and four interceptions in 16 starts. He was criticized for his on-field antics with New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., but the incidents were not enough to stop Washington from signing him to a five-year deal worth $75 million in the off-season.
The Steelers and the Redskins kick off on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. ET.
