Bills QB Tyrod Taylor practices, plans to play Sunday

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor's status for Sunday has yet to be determined due to a knee sprain, but Rex Ryan isn't ready to rule him out just yet. Additionally, Taylor was able to practice on Wednesday and is very optimistic for Sunday.

"That's the plan," Taylor told reporters when asked if he'll play this week.

Taylor was wearing a brace on his knee in practice and hasn't done too much lateral movement yet, but the fact that he was on the field is a good sign. Of course, Taylor's biggest weapon is his running ability and a sprained MCL certainly affects that, but he's able to beat opponents with his arm, too.

If Taylor is unable to go on Sunday, the Bills are expected to start EJ Manuel in his place with Josh Johnson as his backup. The Bills, who have had struggled on offense over the past two weeks, could certainly use Taylor on the field, but Ryan likely won't rush him back if he's not healthy.
