Bills sign TE Sawyer, DB Ellis to reserve deals

The Buffalo Bills have signed tight end Joe Sawyer and defensive back Dominique Ellis to reserve/future contracts.

Sawyer, listed at 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds, is an undrafted free agent out of Snow College. He signed with San Francisco last offseason before being released by the 49ers before the start of the regular season.

Sawyer also spent two seasons at Southwestern Oklahoma State. He finished his college career with 158 catches for 1,644 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Ellis was an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina State. He signed with Kansas City last offseason before being released by the Chiefs before the start of the season. Ellis played for North Carolina State as a freshman, before transferring to South Carolina State.
