Blair Walsh girlfriend's defends him after missed kick
Blair Walsh has taken plenty of heat for missing a chip-shot field goal that could have won the game for the Vikings against the Seahawks on Sunday, but he is hardly the only reason Minnesota’s season came to a close. His girlfriend wants to remind everyone of that.
After Sunday’s game, Walsh’s girlfriend Sarah Chaffee — a news reporter in Alabama — defended Walsh and pointed out that he scored all nine of the Vikings’ points.
vikings were not in a position to win the game w/out @BlairWalsh3 keep in mind he scored evry pt today. also handled himself like class act

She certainly has a point. It’s hard to excuse shanking a 27-yard field goal (even if the laces were facing in), but Adrian Peterson deserves as much of the blame as Walsh.
Peterson’s fourth-quarter fumble completely swung the game in favor of Seattle. He would have picked up a first down after catching a pass from Teddy Bridgwater, but he fumbled and allowed the Seahawks to take over deep in Minnesota territory. Peterson’s mistake essentially handed Seattle what turned out to be the game-winning field goal.
While Walsh has already been mocked with some cruel memes, we’d argue that Vikings fans should be more angry with Peterson.
