Brandin Cooks expects to play even faster in 2015

If you want a scary thought for opposing defenses, imagine New Orleans Saints second-year receiver Brandin Cooks playing even faster than he did in 2014. According to Mike Triplett of ESPN, Cooks feels confident that it's more than possible.

"Believe it or not, Cooks said he thinks that will allow him to play even faster -- which is hard to picture since Cooks is known for his dazzling speed. He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.33 seconds at the NFL scouting combine." Triplett explained.

“You know, honestly it is (possible),” Cooks told ESPN. “Because taking the thinking out of it, some of that thinking I was doing last year can really slow you down.”

Cooks makes a strong argument for the potential to play even faster this coming year, and if he does, well, the Saints' offense could be poised to be one of the most dangerous in the NFL. The team may have traded away Jimmy Graham, but they still have quite a few playmakers, including Cooks, veteran Marques Colston and newly acquired C.J. Spiller.
