Broncos tackle Russell Okung taken to hospital with concussion-like symptoms

Denver Broncos left tackle Russell Okung was taken to a hospital after experiencing concussion-like symptoms following Denver’s 21-13 loss Thursday night, the team announced.

According to Mike Klis of 9News in Denver, Okung was transported to the hospital in an ambulance and was administered an IV. Okung played the entire game and was penalized twice for offensive holding in the fourth quarter. His first holding penalty resulted in a safety.

The team said Okung was released from the hospital late Thursday night and was cleared to return to Denver.

Okung, who is in his first season with the Broncos, has started every game this season with Denver. He spent his first six years in the NFL with the Seahawks, who drafted him sixth overall in 2010.
