Cam Newton passes Steve Young for the most rushing touchdowns by a QB
Carolina's Cam Newton doesn’t play quarterback the way most do. That’s because he’s bigger and more athletic than just about every QB in NFL history. Because of that, he makes a living on the ground, running the football with a great deal of success.
On Sunday, he etched his name in the record books once again, cementing his place as one of the best dual threats ever. In the first quarter of the Panthers’ Week 3 game against the Vikings, Newton scored on a 3-yard touchdown run – the 45th rushing TD of his career.

With that, Newton became the all-time leader in rushing touchdowns by a quarterback, passing Steve Young atop the list.
It was Newton’s second score on the ground this season and his 12th since the start of 2015.
