Cam Newton sets NFL record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback
The Carolina Panthers’ Cam Newton broke the NFL record for most career rushing touchdowns by a quarterback during Thursday’s opener against the Denver Broncos.
Newton recorded his 44th career rushing touchdown with a 2-yard run in the second quarter to give Carolina the lead. He passed Hall of Famer Steve Young for the No. 1 spot on the list and tied Otto Graham’s record set in the early 1950s before the merger.

Newton broke both records in just 79 total games in the NFL. Young played in 169 games throughout his career.
