Cardinals LB Sean Weatherspoon ecstatic to be back on the field
Arizona Cardinals linebacker Sean Weatherspoon is grateful just to be playing football again. Weatherspoon missed all of last season with the Falcons due to an achilles injury.
Now that Weatherspoon is back on the field making an impact again, he is letting everyone around him know how happy he is to be back.
“I feel like we have one of the best jobs in the world, so when we’re out there, I feel like we should be having fun,”Weatherspoon said to the Cardinals official website. “Sometimes you’re tired, sometimes you don’t want to be out there. But you have to find it somewhere and I think that I can be a bright spot to help other guys get better in practice, and not just get through practice.”
Cardinals players are enjoying and feeding off his excitement during practice. Weatherspoon hopes he can be a bright spot if someone is having a tough day.
“The guys here are fun,” Weatherspoon said. “They are like, ‘Spoon, don’t ever stop.’ I’ll never stop. Because I’m grateful. It’s not a right to be out here, it’s a privilege. I don’t forget that.”
