Palmer suffered a concussion late in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 17-13 home loss to the Rams. Drew Stanton, who will get the start Thursday, came in and threw interceptions on consecutive drives to end the Cardinals' comeback hopes.
Stanton, 32, has been with the Cardinals for three seasons. He started eight games for the team in 2014, and finished with a 5-3 record despite completing just 55 percent of his passes and throwing for seven touchdowns and five interceptions. He made two brief appearances last season, throwing two interceptions on 25 pass attempts.
