Carson Wentz named NFL's offensive rookie of the month
At the rate things are going, rookie quarterback Carson Wentz is going to need to build another shelf to house all of the awards he’ll be receiving.

To say the reaction was mixed about what to expect from the No. 2 overall pick following a rib injury that sidelined him for just about the entire preseason would be an understatement. The Eagles traded former starting quarterback Sam Bradford with eight days to go before the 2016 NFL Season. Executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman stated that he hoped the trade would work out for both sides. Things have started just about as well as they could for the Eagles.
As the excitement of a blowout win over the Pittsburgh Steelers begins to subside and thoughts now turn to Lane Johnson‘s appeal hearing for his suspension, Eagles fans now stare at the worst week of the NFL season, a week where your team doesn’t play. Currently, the team sits at 3-0 and is alone at the top of the NFC East. It’s been a total team effort, but Wentz can take credit for a lot of it. He’s played like a veteran, earned a passer rating of 103.8 and thrown five touchdown passes. What’s most important is he and the the rest of the offense haven’t turned the ball over once. No other team in the league can say that about their offense.
Congratulations to Wentz on yet another honor. Next up, the Eagles have revenge on their minds as they face the Detroit Lions. The Eagles were blown out by the Lions last year on Thanksgiving Day.
