Chargers' Keenan Allen carted off the field with knee injury

San Diego Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen had one of the best starts to a season in NFL history with 67 receptions in eight games in 2015, but was forced to miss the rest of the season due to a lacerated kidney. After a heartbreaking moment in Sunday's Chiefs-Chargers game, it appears Allen may be out for a considerable amount of time again this season.

Allen was carted off the field in obvious pain in the second quarter. Allen's right knee appeared to buckle as he tried to beat a defender, and there was very little contact on the play. Allen led both teams with six receptions for 63 yards at the time of his injury.
