Chargers move up in power rankings after the NFL Draft

Watch out, Denver Broncos?

With a highly-acclaimed draft class, the Chargers moved up two spots to No. 14 in NFL.com's post-draft power rankings and moved up three spots in ESPN's power rankings.

The league's site credited second-round pick Denzel Perryman with the two-spot jump, which places them right behind the Baltimore Ravens but in front of the Houston Texans.

ESPN credited the usual suspect in top pick Melvin Gordon. San Diego pieced together a competitive season without much of a running game, and ESPN thinks more balance will do the Bolts some good.

Still, the reigning AFC West champs outrank the Bolts in both polls. The Broncos sit at No. 4 in ESPN's power rankings and at No. 9 on the NFL's list.
