Chiefs S Eric Berry gives his mom a game ball after his spectacular pick-six

Eric Berry has established himself as one of the premier safeties in the NFL. After winning Comeback Player of the Year last season, Berry has put together a terrific 2016 campaign – his second since returning to the Chiefs after beating cancer.

On Sunday against the Falcons, he picked off his third pass of the season and returned it 37 yards for a touchdown. He did so in Atlanta, which is not only his hometown but also where he was treated for leukemia.

After finding the end zone, Berry went over to the stands, where he handed the ball to his mother in the second row.

Berry is participating in the NFL’s “My Cause My Cleats” campaign this week. He’s wearing cleats for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Awareness.
