Clinton Portis not happy about Suh play, would have 'choked him out'
Ndamukong Suh was at the center of yet another dirty-play controversy in Week 1 when it appeared that he kicked off Alfred Morris' helmet. The league reviewed the play and did not deem it a kick, so no punishment was handed down.
Former Washington Redskins running back Clinton Portis was not exactly happy with the play, and had some strong words to say about Suh.
"I would have dove at the back of Suh’s knees so quick and got up and probably choked him out," Portis said during his weekly appearance on ESPN 980. "I definitely wouldn’t have let him get away with that. But again Alfred Morris is a different guy than myself."
Portis didn't seem to hold back his opinion of the play. And he doesn't appear to be scared of the massive defensive lineman. Portis would go on to talk about Suh's "toughness" on the field.
"Guys give off this facade of being tough and ‘oh man, I’m the man and don’t try me’ and you know, I don’t think Suh, you know, is that tough of a player," he said. "He’s a great player though."
Tough or not, Suh is one of the most dominant defensive players in the league. It's hard to argue that fact, and even Portis knows how great of a player he is.
