Cowboys 'very comfortable' with Elliott's domestic violence story

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said he has no problems concerning allegations involving rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott after USA Today reported that Elliott was involved in an allegation of domestic violence in February.

USA Today obtained an incident report obtained from the Aventura (Fla.) Police Department, which contained allegations from the same woman who said Elliott abused her in Columbus, Ohio over the summer.

According to the February report, the woman said she had left shoulder pain from Elliott pushing her up against a wall during an argument. The woman did not go to the hospital and Elliott was not arrested.

Jones was asked if he was concerned by speculation about Elliott.

“Everything that I know regarding any of Zeke’s behavior makes me satisfied that we don’t have any issue,” Jones said.

The NFL is investigating and Elliott could face a suspension if it is shown that he violated the league's personal conduct policy. Elliott’s attorney, Frank Salzano, criticized the media last week for focusing on the league's investigation of his client.

“There’s been nothing, nothing that I don’t know about that anybody has brought up,” Jones said. "I’m very comfortable that I’ve got Zeke’s full story. I’m real comfortable. We haven’t been worried about that since training camp.”

Elliott leads the NFL with 891 rushing yards and has also scored seven touchdowns this season for the NFC East-leading Cowboys.
