Dak Prescott explains why he acknowledges everyone on the Cowboys before games

It doesn't take long watching Dak Prescott operate on the field to realize he's a team-first player. Off the field, the rookie has deflected credit to his teammates at almost every turn. But that attitude doesn’t end with his Dallas Cowboys teammates.

The rookie quarterback has made it a point to acknowledge virtually everyone in the Cowboys organization before each game – from players and coaches to equipment-staff members.

But why take the time to do this when there are more pressing matters – like preparing for the opposition?

"I want everyone to know I am there for them," Prescott said, via the Dallas Morning News. "I'm going to give them my all. It's kind of just appreciation throughout the week for everything they have done.

"We are blessed to be in this position, to be in this organization and get to play this game and get to work for this team. So it's more of just an acknowledgment at that point."

Prescott has said all the right things off the field and has been nearly impeccable on it, throwing 18 touchdowns to only two interceptions. He’s helped the Cowboys to a franchise-record 10 consecutive wins and the best record in the NFL.
