Denver Broncos Fanzone: Interview With Kyle Marshall
In this week’s edition of the Denver Broncos Fanzone, I got to chat with Kyle Marshall and get his takes on the Denver Broncos and this Sunday’s game.
Hello Broncos Country. It is Patriots week. The week we all love to hate.
Once again, the Denver Broncos will face off against the New England Patriots. This has been quite the rivalry over the past few seasons.
And rightfully so. Both of these teams have represented the AFC in the last three Super Bowls, with each team each winning a championship in that time span.
The New England Patriots are vying for the No. 1 overall seed in the AFC while the Denver Broncos are currently holding onto the final wild card spot.
Anything can happen when these two teams face off. The Broncos won the last two meeting by a combined eight points. And both games were decided by the last play of the game.
With the Broncos back from a two game road trip on the east coast, I have no doubt that the fans will be rocking the stadium.
How will Siemian vs. Brady I match up? I believe it will be a good one.
This week on the Broncos Fanzone, I decided to catch up with Kyle Marshall. Some of Broncos Country may know him as DJ Beardo on KBPI Denver Radio.
So, let us check and see what Kyle has to say about the Broncos and the game against the New England Patriots.
The Denver Broncos suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Titans. What do you believe, other than the run defense, was the biggest reason behind the loss?
The run defense was pretty crucial. You can’t let an offense get a combined 150 yards, 92 of which came from a premiere back in the league. Despite all of that though, the Titans were held to 13 points.
The biggest key to the game on Sunday was the Broncos inability to get anything going on offense until the 4th quarter. The Broncos lack of an offensive line limited our rush game which made them predictable to shut down. Turnovers in crucial moments also didn’t help.
With the Denver Broncos sitting at 8-5, do you believe they can make the postseason with their remaining schedule?
The Broncos can make the postseason but it won’t be easy. If they want to go to the Playoffs it’s going to take the offense to gel enough to keep the defense rested. I fear it is going to have to be the defense that gets us the Broncos once again, but our defense is good enough to get it done.
What is your favorite Broncos moment of all time?
I have two favorite Broncos moments.

The first was last year against the Patriots in the regular season overtime game. I was in the stands, in the cold and snow when all of the sudden CJ Anderson broke a 45 yard run and took our team to victory. It was one of the most amazing feelings watching the Broncos beat the Patriots, a team most thought they wouldn’t beat, in that fashion.
My second favorite moment was the Matt Prater 64 yard field goal. I was there for that game as well and the shear disbelief to excitement that he made it was incredible. It also felt like the momentum definitely shifted as a result of that field goal as the Broncos went from being down at the half to winning 51-28.

The Broncos take on the Patriots on Sunday. What do you believe will be key to a Broncos win?
If the Broncos want to win against the Patriots this week, they have to dial up the pressure on Brady just like they did last year. He’ll be without Gronk already so if they can rattle Brady and force him to make mistakes, I think it will keep the Broncos in the game.
Which player on the Broncos roster do you believe will be an X-Factor for the game? What do you believe will be the final score for the game?
The X Factor is going to have to be Von Miller. If he is quick enough to pressure Brady, it may cause him to make mistakes and our defense to possibly score some points. I think the final score will be 28-21 but it’s gonna come with at least one defensive touchdown from Denver.
