Former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Derrick Brooks not only had an incredibly impressive NFL career, but also an impressive collegiate career. Now, it's looking like he's going to be honored for both. After making the Pro Football Hall of Fame on his very first try, he'll attempt to do the same with the College Football Hall of Fame, as he's now officially been nominated according to Pat Yasinskas of ESPN.

"Brooks, who played at Florida State, is one of 76 players who are eligible, The National Football Foundation announced."

"The class will be announced Jan. 8 in Arizona, where the College Football Playoff championship game will be held." explained Yasinskas.

Best of luck to the former Buc, but here's to hoping that he won't need luck to earn yet another impressive accolade.
