Dez Bryant gets Cowboys game ball a day after his dad died
Lost in all the hoopla surrounding Dallas Cowboys rookie sensations Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott during Sunday’s thrilling win over the Steelers was Dez Bryant’s inspiring performance.
Yes, he finished with six catches for 116 yards and a touchdown. Great numbers by anyone’s standards. But it was that he did it a day after his father died that left his teammates and coaching staff in awe.
After the game, Bryant was given a game ball for his spectacular effort under heartbreaking circumstances.
Fellow Cowboys wideout Cole Beasley said Bryant was fighting tears throughout the game.
Bryant’s talent is on display most weeks, but this Sunday we got a very clear look at his heart.
