Dolphins call up RB Jonas Gray from practice squad
For the second time this month, the Miami Dolphins called up running back Jonas Gray from the practice squad.
Gray was cut by the New England Patriots before the season began and signed to the Dolphins' practice squad as he's bounced back and forth from the active roster. Gray is best known for his 201-yard, four-touchdown performance against the Indianapolis Colts last season, but it wasn't enough to earn him a spot with the Patriots this season.
With Lamar Miller dealing with an ankle injury, the Dolphins are likely bringing up Gray as an insurance policy in case Miller is limited. He's the fourth running back on the active roster, joining Damien Williams and Raheem Mostert -- although Mostert is primarily used as a kick returner.
